This artwork brings to life the powerful image of the tuna—an enduring symbol of both abundance and resilience in ocean culture. With its bold strokes and vibrant hues of blue, it mirrors the rhythm of the waves and the ceaseless motion of the sea. The flowing patterns echo not only the tuna’s speed and strength, but also the traditions of fishing communities whose lives are intertwined with these waters. More than just a depiction of marine life, it celebrates the vibrant connection between humanity and the ocean, where culture, livelihood, and nature move together in harmony. Inspired by the dynamic visual style of the anime Demon Slayer, I call this piece ‘Tuna Breathing, First Form: Abyssal Surge’.
